I am always looking to buy collections of vintage postcards. I prefer pre 1940 UK examples, although I will consider other ages. I am quite willing to travel throughout the Lancashire area to view your collection, plus keen to buy good quality single cards if you prefer. If you live further afield, I can arrange FREE courier collection, again without obligation, if my offer is declined, your collection is returned to you WITHOUT ANY CHARGE.

All cards are genuine/original picture postcards from the 1900 to 1940 date range, unless specified as later. Topographical UK counties have their own categories with some being sub divided into smaller towns/areas.
Subject postcards are also sub divided for you i.e. shipping (these are sub divided into different companies), rail, military, artist signed etc.
Browse through the categories at your leisure, or you can use the powerful LOCATE IT option to help find your desired postcards.
All cards are pictured as you would expect and you can supersize these to see the card in close up detail.

For new listings from 10th January 2010 , I will be using a postcard grading scale as below:
Postcard grading scale used by Alfapostcards
M - Mint: A perfect card just as it comes from the printing press. No marks, bends, or creases. No writing or postmarks. A clean and fresh card. Seldom seen.
NM - Near Mint: Like Mint but very light aging or very slight discoloration from being in an album for many years. Not as sharp or crisp as Mint.
EX - Excellent: Like mint in appearance with no bends or creases, or rounded or blunt corners. May be postally used or unused and with writing and postmark only on the address side. A clean, fresh card on the picture side.
VG - Very Good: Corners may be a bit blunt or rounded. Almost undetectable crease or bend that does not detract from overall appearance of the picture side. May have writing or postally used on address side.
G - Good: Corners may be noticeably blunt or rounded with noticeably slight bends or creases. May be postally used or have writing on the address side.
FR - Fair: Card is intact. Excess soil, stains, creases, writing, or cancellation may affect picture. Could be a scarce card that is difficult to find in any conditionQuality Service

All cards are sent ASAP after payment has been received. I aim to post the next business day but will post same day if at all possible! Cards are despatched securely in a protective plastic sleeve & stiffened envelope clearly marked 'DO NOT BEND' to ensure safe arrival. Large orders will be packed in a jiffy bag envelope and receive extra care in packaging.
No reasonable offers refused! One base shipping rate no matter how many cards you select.
If for any reason you are not 100% happy with your purchase, simply return the card(s) as sold for a full refund.
